Custom jewelry, designed by you and woven by hand in Florence
I approach every bespoke piece as a dialogue. What you describe in the brief above, the shape you imagine, the metal you are drawn to, the stone you keep returning to, is where the design begins. I work with a knitting technique my grandmother taught me as a child, a way of forming wire that has its roots in ancient Greek goldsmithing. Every loop is made by hand, so no two pieces ever come out the same.
If you are not certain yet what you want, that is not a reason to wait. A colour, a feeling, a piece you saw once and never forgot is enough for me to start from.
How I work
Once your brief reaches me I spend a few days with it, then send you a personalised sketch together with a quote, so you can see exactly what I am proposing before anything is settled. When you are happy with the design, you confirm it and the making begins. Your finished piece reaches you within two to four weeks. If the sketch is not what you hoped for, I redraw it, and nothing is charged until you are happy.
Questions I am often asked
How much does custom jewelry cost?
Smaller pieces usually begin around 120 euro, medium designs sit between 300 and 500 euro, and larger commissions start from 500 euro. The metal, the stones and the complexity of what you have imagined all move that figure, so the only number that matters is the one in your quote, which you will always have before committing to anything.
How long will my piece take?
Two to four weeks from the moment you approve the sketch and quote. If you are working towards a particular date, say so in your brief and I will let you know honestly whether it can be done.
Can I use a stone I already own?
Of course, and it is one of my favourite things to be asked. Describe it in the brief or send me a photograph, and I will design a setting built around that stone.
Do you ship internationally?
I ship worldwide. Every parcel leaves my studio insured and tracked.
What is the difference between plated and sterling silver jewelry?
The finishes in the brief above are gold, platinum and black rhodium, each electroplated over a sterling silver base, alongside sterling silver left natural and uncoated. If you would prefer solid gold, mention it when you write and I will quote for it separately.
Is personalized jewelry a good gift?
It is, as long as you know a little about what the person wears. If you are designing something for someone else and are unsure about size or style, describe them to me in the brief and I will suggest what is likely to suit. Gift packaging and a handwritten note always accompany the finished piece.
